The government has extended the window for bondholders to complete the tender processes as part of the Domestic Debt Exchange Programme (DDEP) to Friday, February 10, 2023.
According to a statement issued by the Finance Ministry on Tuesday, some bondholders encountered “technical hitches as they attempted to complete the online tender process,” hence the window to enable such persons to complete the process.
“The Government of Ghana thanks all bondholders who have so far tendered their bonds. However, it has come to the attention of the government that some bondholders faced technical hitches as they tried to complete the online tender process.
As a result, the government is providing bondholders with a window to complete processes for tendering their bonds, in response to the terms of Exchange as amended according to the 2nd Amended and Restated Exchange Memorandum. This window ends on Friday, February 10, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. (GMT),” it stated.
According to the statement, the timetable of the Exchange has not been affected by this, except for the Announcement Date expected to occur on Monday, February 10, 2023.
“The settlement of the Exchange is still scheduled for Tuesday, 14th February 2023. Except as outlined in this paragraph, the terms and conditions of the Exchange are not modified or amended,” it noted.
It advised all eligible bondholders who were unable to complete the process to visit the website of the Central Securities Depository (www.csd.com.gh/dde).
