Ghana Post has launched a new Scuttle Parcel Box system to reach a wider spectrum of clients across the country.
This innovation forms part of efforts to transform Ghana Post into a world-class service delivery institution.
Speaking at the Launch on Thursday in Accra, the Deputy Minister for Communication and Digitalisation, Mrs Ama Pomaa Boateng, noted that the Scuttle Parcel Box initiative forms part of the Ministry’s digital agenda that seeks to leverage technologies to improve business in all communities.
She announced that the innovation is anti-theft, convenient and reliable, adding that it was developed to enhance customer satisfaction and also create jobs.
On his part, the Managing Director of the Ghana Post, Mr Bice Osei Kuffour, disclosed that the Scuttle Parcel Box was designed with a digital addressing system slot to assist and lead the parcel delivery officers to the locations of prospective clients.
According to him, the boxes are ready for sale at the agency and that customers who buy them would receive help setting up the boxes in their various residences and places of business.
