The Ministry of Finance says it has settled all outstanding coupons and principal payments of the Coalition of individual Bond holders Groups up until 19th June 2023.
This was contained in a press statement by the Ministry of Finance on Monday.
It stated that the Government of Ghana and the coalition of Individual Bondholders Groups (CIBG), comprising members of the Bondholder’s forum (IBF) and the individual Bondholders Association of Ghana (IBHAG) on the 16th May, 2023 reached agreement regarding the government’s outstanding domestic debt service obligations.
The agreement was captured in a memorandum of understanding dated 16th May, 2023.
“The Government of Ghana reassures all bondholder’s of continuing and constructive engagement with the leadership of the CIBG, as well as government’s commitment to the implementation of the terms of the MoU,” it added.
The Ministry of Finance takes the opportunity to thank all bondholders for the continuous support during this period of tight liquidity.
The statement affirmed the government’s commitments in working with all stakeholders to restore macroeconomic stability, achieve inclusive economic growth and transform the country.
