Ralph Mupita, Group President & Chief Executive Officer, Mobile Telecommunications Network (MTN), and the Board Chairman of the MTN Group, Mcebisi Jonas, are in Ghana as part of a tour of MTN priority markets.
According to a News Release issued in Accra, yesterday, October 27, 2020, it is the Group CEO’s first visit since he assumed the role on September 1, 2020.
The two-day visit, the Release said, was an opportunity for MTN to align with key stakeholders on material issues of common interest.
The Release said, the delegation held meetings with Dr Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia, Vice President of Ghana, and the Former President, John Agyekum Kufuor, who is also a member of the MTN Group International Advisory Board, adding that they would also hold meetings with the Ministers of Communications and Minister of Finance.
The MTN Group team, according to the Release, was joined by Mr Ebenezer Asante, Vice President for South Eastern Africa and Ghana (SEAGHA), Dr Ishmael Yamson, Board Chairman of MTN Ghana, Ms Felleng Sekha, Group Chief Regulatory & Corporate Affairs Officer and Sam Koranteng, Corporate Services Executive of MTN Ghana.
MTN Ghana is the number four company within the MTN Group which operates in 21 markets across Africa and the Middle East.
