The people of Yilo Krobo Municipality would soon have a sigh of relief in terms of access to quality healthcare service due to the completion of an ultra-modern hospital by the government in the area.
Currently, officials of the Ministry of Health, Ghana Health Service and Yilo Krobo Municipal Health Directorate have been tasked to inspect the hospital’s facilities before it is opened to the public.
After the technical inspection by the health experts has been completed, the Municipal Health Directorate would seek clearance to recruit the required staff to operate the hospital.
The Municipal Chief Executive Officer, Mr Ebenezer Tetteh Kupualor, disclosed this when the contractor handed over the hospital to Municipal Assembly.
He said the government secured the funding for the hospital and the Municipal Assembly acquired 10 acres of land for the construction of the hospital at the cost of GHC160 000.00.
He reiterated the government’s commitment to providing good health facilities for all Ghanaians.
Also, four semi-detached staff bungalows have been completed to ease accommodation problems for staff posted to the hospital.
