Six municipal guards of the Adentan Municipal Assembly have passed out after a five-week intensive training in traffic management, aggregate security for staff and properties of the assembly, as well as enforcement of the assembly’s bylaws.
The Municipal Chief Executive of the Adentan Municipal Assembly, Mr Alexander Nii-Noi Adumuah, urged the guards to be dynamic, client focus and discipline.
The MCE noted that the guards were joining the assembly at a time when there were a lot of issues concerning unauthorised infrastructural developments, jaywalking and low-rate payment and, therefore, charged them to make good use of their training to reverse those negatives trends.
For his part, the Adentan Divisional Commander of the Ghana Police Service, ACP Joseph Owusu Bempah, admonished the municipal guards to be fair and firm in the discharge of their duties.
He urged the guards to uphold the noble tenets of their profession and work with a high standard of discipline and professionalism to uplift the image of the Adentan municipality.
