The Eastern Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) has organised its third Commodity Satellite Market Fair in Koforidua in a bid to promote agro-based and agro-processed products.
The fair, which started on Tuesday and will end on Thursday, showcases well-branded and packaged agricultural produce to the public.
The Eastern Regional Minister, Mr Seth Kwame Acheampong, said the theme of this year’s fair, “Enhancing Value Addition and Export Potential through the Eastern Commodity Satellite Market: The Role of Regulatory Bodies,” is carefully chosen.
He said the fair is geared towards unlocking market opportunities for Ghanaian commodities.
He told patrons of the fair “to expect innovative solutions, insightful engagements and boundless opportunities.”
Mr Acheampong also acknowledged the staff of the Agricultural Department for working their heads off to make this year’s fair happen.
On her part, the Eastern Regional Director of Agriculture, Hajia Habiba Yusifu, underscored the healthy nature of Ghanaian organic products and urged the public to continue patronising them.
