The Ashanti Regional Minister, Mr Simon Osei-Mensah, has directed the authorities of Weweso MA Primary School to relocate their pupils to Marcell Girls Vocational School.
The minister gave this directive when he visited the school to inspect the building following a death trap report.
Addressing the media, Mr Osei-Mensah said he decided to relocate the students because the school building had failed a Structural Integrity Test performed by the Building Research Institute (BRI).
As to whether the structure would be completely demolished or reinforced, the minister said that would be determined by the full report, which is yet to come out.
The said building, which is located in the Oforikrom Municipality, is a 12-classroom block which was built in 2016 as part of its effort to end the shift system.
