The Minister for Health, Mr Kwaku Agyeman-Manu, has commissioned a 40-bed Ultra-Modern Hospital on Thursday in Aburi under the management of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana.
The Minister for Health, who commissioned the facility on behalf of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, disclosed that the cost of the construction of the hospital, which stood at €40,000,000.00, also includes the provision of some health facilities at Kibi, Atibie and Akuapem Mampong hospitals.
According to him, the project scope includes one-year post-completion maintenance and training. He therefore urged the Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG) to liaise with the contractor’s maintenance team to maintain the hospital.
On his part, the Adontenhene of Akuapem Traditional Area and Aburihene, Otoobour Djan-Kwasi II, expressed appreciation to the government for its commitment to providing universal health coverage in Ghana.
The Kom Presbyterian Hospital is designed with several departments, including administration, outpatient and emergency, inpatient wards, obstetrics and gynaecology, pharmacy, diagnostic services and logistics.
