The newly appointed Head of the Civil Service, Dr Aggrey-Darkoh, has called for continuous collaboration and support from Chief Directors and Heads of Departments for the progress of the service.
He made the call at a breakfast meeting last Friday in Accra to formally introduce himself to the Chief Directors and Heads of Departments.
Dr Aggrey-Darkoh emphasized the need for collaboration to elevate the service’s role in driving state development.
“One tree cannot make a forest, if we want to put the service to the pedestal that will continue to function as an institution that will reinforce the development of the state, a collective effort will be necessary,” he added.
On his part, the departing Head of Civil Service, Nana Kwasi Agyakum-Dwamena, expressed gratitude to the Chief Directors and Heads of Department for their support and collaboration throughout his nine-year tenure as the Head of Civil Service.
He urged Dr Aggrey-Darkoh to consider the Chief Directors, Heads of Department and the entire Civil Service employees as a coherent family.
