The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has refuted claims circulating on social media that Ghanaians have been caught up in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.

In a press release issued on Wednesday, the Ministry categorically denied the authenticity of a viral video allegedly showing Ghanaians amidst the conflict.

According to the official statement, the Ministry clarified that the incident depicted in the video did not occur in Gaza, Israel, or any location related to the current Israel-Hamas conflict.

The Ministry urged the public to disregard the misleading video and reassured that the Ghanaian community in Israel is presently safe.

To address any concerns or emergencies related to Ghanaian citizens in Israel, the Ministry provided hotlines to the Ghana Embassy in Israel:
* 00972 54 8662 281
* 00972 54 9316 007
* 00972 54 674 1553
The Ministry emphasized the importance of verifying information and avoiding the spread of fake news.

It called for the public’s cooperation in ensuring accurate dissemination of information.

“We take this opportunity to assure the general public that the Ghanaian Community in Israel is currently safe. Our embassy is actively monitoring the situation and will provide updates as necessary,” the Ministry stated.

Ghanaians are encouraged to rely on official sources and exercise caution when sharing information related to international events.

The Ministry remains committed to keeping the public informed and addressing concerns surrounding the welfare of Ghanaians abroad
