The Ministry of information, Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), the National Media Commission (NMC) and the Right to Information Commission (RTIC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to redevelop the Ghana International Press Centre into an ultramodern edifice.
When completed, it will accommodate all media-related entities such as Ghana Independent Broadcasters Association (GIBA) and Private Newspaper Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG) and the umbrella bodies such as GJA, NMC and RTIC.
It will also serve as a multipurpose complex for the media in Ghana.
The Minister for Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, who witnessed the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) said the new project, when completed, would become the new social, economic and cultural destination for the media in Ghana and Africa at large.
The signatories to the MOU were, Mrs Patricia Dovi Sampson (on behalf of the Ministry of Information), Mr Roland Affail Monney (on behalf of GJA), and the Chairman of the NMC, Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh (on behalf of the NMC and RTIC).
