The Chairman of the Appiatse Support Fund Committee, Rev. Dr Joyce Aryee, has announced that the Fund has mobilised GHC 45 million toward the reconstruction of Appiatse.

">

She, however, noted that the Appiatse Reconstruction Implementation Team required GHC70 million to reconstruct the community.

She made this announcement when the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) donated GHC50,000 to the fund.

Rev. Aryee commended GRA for its contribution and patriotism in the collection of taxes, adding that ” No country can develop without taxation and so what you do is very important to our development.”

She also commended the staff of the Lands and Natural Resources Ministry for the individual donations made to the Fund.

Mr Dominic Naab, an Assistant Commissioner, GRA said having heard of the unfortunate incident that happened in Appiatse some months ago, GRA as a socially responsible organisation decided to contribute towards the reconstruction of the model green community.
