The Ghana Journalists Association is set to hold its general elections to elect new national and regional executives on Friday, November 13, 2020.
The new national and regional executives will steer the affairs of the Association for the next three years.
This was contained in a press statement signed by the General Secretary of the Association, Mr. Kofi Yeboah
According to the statement, nominations at the national level would be opened for the positions of President, Vice President, General Secretary, National Organising Secretary, Treasurer and Public Affairs Officer and at the regional level the positions for Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer are to be elected.
A three-member Elections Committee, chaired by Osei Kwadwo, a private legal practitioner and lecturer at the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) has been charged to supervise the elections, it said
The statement further said a three-member Elections Dispute Adjudication Committee (EDAC) chaired by Marian Kyei, a private legal practitioner and media consultant has been tasked to address any misunderstanding that may crop up before, during and after the election.
