The government has extended the free water supply policy labeled “Free Water for All Ghanaians” to mitigate the effects of the COVID-19 on people to the end of 2020.
The decision is to ensure that all Ghanaians have access to water to enable them to regularly wash their hands to contain the spread of the virus in the country.
A press release signed by the Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, Madam Cecilia Abena Dapaah, on Wednesday, September 23, 2020, urged landlords and tank service providers to refrain from selling water to the people.
The statement advised Ghanaians to use the treated water judiciously, it said.
