The Government of Ghana is taking steps to ensure the safety and security of Ghanaians in Ukraine in the wake of the Ukraine- Russian war.
A press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration said the government was concerned about the deteriorating military situation in Ukraine, which directly impacts the security and safety of Ghanaians, including over 1000 students in Ukraine.
The government, therefore, urged the Diplomatic Mission in Berne to work directly with the relevant authorities in Ukraine to ensure the safety and protection of Ghanaians during this difficult period.
The government also urged the Mission to advise Ghanaians in Ukraine to reduce their movements in public places as they obtain essential goods and to remain in their homes or move to government places of shelter, it added.
