The Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRDICo) has assured the public that the current power outage some parts of the country are experiencing would soon be addressed.
A statement from GRDICo said the outage was a result of the closure of an emergency valve at the West Africa Gas Pipeline Company (WAPCo) which cuts gas supply to some generating plants.
Due to that, some parts of the country are experiencing power outages, it added
However, it assured that stakeholders in the power value chain, including WAPCo, are currently working to restore gas supply to the generating plants to bring the situation to normalcy.
“Also, arrangements have been made for other generating plants to come online to restore supply to the affected areas,” it added.
