Interior Minister visits injured Police Officers

The Minister for the Interior, Mr Ambrose Dery, has visited the Police Hospital in Accra to check on a police officer who sustained gunshot wounds in their line of duty.

This occurred on Sunday, February 12, 2023, while the police squad was on duty to rescue a residence from a suspected armed robbery operation at Tsive-Kpotame near Kpadzakope, a suburb of Abor in the Volta Region.

The Minister, who was accompanied by the Inspector General of Police, George Akuffo Dampare, sympathized with officers and assured that the government was committed to retooling the Police Service with protective accoutrements to enable officers to be able to secure the lives of the citizens as well as their own lives.
