The Chief Justice of the Republic of Ghana, His Lordship Justice A. Yeboah has reiterated that the Judicial Service is dedicated to working to ensure that everyone has access fair justice.
He said this at the commissioing of a new circuit court edifice at Damongo in the Savannah Region.
He stated that the construction of the court was very necessary considering the fact that universal access to the legal system was a crucial component of development.
He expressed gratitude to the traditional authorities for their immense support in constructing the facility.
Justice A. Yeboah disclosed that the court would take particular interest in sexual and gender-based violence matters in a quest to deliver justice and peace to society.
On his part, the Savannah Regional Minister, Mr Saeed Muhazu Jibril, expressed gratitude to the chiefs and people of the region for their cooperation in the development initiatives in the Savannah Region.
He appealed to the Chief Justice to ensure the immediate operationalization of the facility to help curb the large margins of crime in the region.
