The Minister for Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development, Mr Dan Botwe, has visited the outgoing Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Mr Ebenezer Kojo Kum, to familiarize himself with issues regarding the sector.
The visit became necessary as the Chieftaincy Minister resigned from his position, leading to the President appointing Mr Dan Botwe as the Caretaker for that Ministry.
Mr Botwe commended the outgoing Minister for executing the government’s mandate for the sector.
He pledged his commitment to work in consultation with the outgoing Minister and the staff to achieve more for the Ministry.
Mr Kojo Kum brought him up to speed on the activities that have been done by the Ministry and the programme outlined for 2023.
The Ag. Chief Director, Miss Fati Lily Soale, briefed the caretaker minister on the upcoming events of the Ministry and gave him a tour of the Ministry and the opportunity to also interact with Heads of the Various Units.
