The Minister for the Interior, Mr Ambrose Dery led the staff of the Ministry for a clean-up exercise as part of the 2022 Civil Service Week Celebrations and Awards Ceremony which is on the theme ‘Digitization in the Civil Service of Ghana: An Agenda for Improved Productivity and Service Delivery’.
The Deputy Minister for the Interior, Naana Eyiah, Chief Director, Mrs Adelaide Anno-Kumi and Directors also joined the minister for the clean-up.
The two-week-long celebration, which started with a clean-up exercise at the various ministries and departments, is being organized by the Office of the Head of Civil Service.
Mr Dery commended the staff for their hard work and participation in the clean-up exercise. He urged them to be disciplined and obey the rules and regulations of the service to maintain its standard.
The celebration hinges on how digitization is contributing to productivity and service delivery in the Civil Service and the Public Sector as a whole. It will also provide an avenue to deepen collaboration between the Civil Service, the Private Sector and its clients.
Activities lined up for the celebration are a Clean-up exercise, press launch, Christian and Muslim thanksgiving service, Public lecture, Policy fair and exhibition, Health talk and screening and it would be climaxed with an Awards Ceremony at the Alisa Hotel in Accra.
