President Akufo-Addo inspects construction work at Ho central market

The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, as part of his two-day working visit to the Volta Region, on Tuesday inspected the progress of work on the second phase of the construction of a World Bank-sponsored “Ghana Secondary Cities Support” project at the Ho central market.

The project, which includes 200 stores, an expansion of the lorry station, a restaurant, a toilet facility and a mosque was made possible through the reclamation of land. 

The Municipal Chief Executive of Ho Central, Mr Divine Richard Komla Bosson, said the market, which is about 90% complete, would transform the regional capital significantly after completion.

The President also visited the 66 Artillery Regiment Military, and opened the 2022 Annual General Meeting of the Ghana Bar Association, before heading to Kpeve to inspect the progress of work on the Eastern Corridor Road in the South Dayi Constituency.
