The Minister for Roads and Highways, Kwasi Amoako-Attah has urged the contractor working on the PTC roundabout in the Takoradi Metropolis to speed up the work to facilitate completion of the project on time.

He noted that swift completion of the project would ease vehicular traffic and improve economic activities in the Region.

Mr. Amoako-Atta, who was on a field visit to the Western Region, said a delay of the project would affect other ongoing projects in the Region.

“The contractor should utilize working at night to ensure the project’s timely completion, especially the planned Paa Grant Interchange,” he added

On his part, the Resident Engineer for the project, Joshua Nii Moili Allotey, disclosed that work was progressing steadily and would be completed as scheduled.

He added that the project was about 20 per cent complete as 57 out of 107 piles of casting and drilling have been done.

The two-tier interchange is being financed through the Sinohydro Master Project Support Agreement between Ghana and the Chinese government.
