The Minister for Transport, Kwaku Ofori Asiamah, has called on the private sector to support the government development agenda by undertaking Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) projects in their operational areas.

The Minister said this at the commissioning of the Nii Adjei Kraku II Astro-Turf in Tema New Town built by the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

He said the surest way of empowering the youth socially and economically was to establish such facilities to ensure that they spent their time profitably.

The Minister noted that the construction of the AstroTurf was in line with the government’s commitment to constructing Astro-Turfs across the country.
