Madam Dorcas Adwoa Paintsil has been appointed as the Acting Executive Secretary of the Water Resources Commission (WRC).
She replaced Mr Ben Ampomah, the immediate past Executive Secretary on the Ministerial Advisory Board.
The Minister for Sanitation and Water Resource, Cecilia Abena Dapaah, who swore in Madam Paintsil during a Ministerial Advisory Board meeting held at the premises of the Ministry of Works and Housing in Accra, charged her to take a keen interest in promoting the image of the sector through proactive service delivery.
“The success or failure of the Ministry in delivering on its mandate to an extent depends on how well each member of the board plays their respective roles,” she added.
On her part, the newly sworn-in executive secretary expresses delight in the confidence reposed in her by the Ministry and promised to ensure that service delivery standards were raised.
“I am poised to uphold the integrity of the office of the Executive Secretary and ensure that service delivery standards were sustained and improved,” she reiterated.
Madam Adwoa Paintsil held the position as the Director of Environmental Quality of the Water Resource Commission before her recent appointment as the Executive Secretary of the Commission.
