The Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Ghana, Jan Fury, has paid a courtesy visit to the Minister for the Interior, Ambrose Dery in Accra.

The meeting, which was aimed at strengthening the bilateral ties between the two countries, discussed collaboration in security, particularly measures to improve services delivered by the security agencies in Ghana.

Mr Dery said the government was committed to ensuring peace and security in the country, adding that the government would continue to put necessary measures in place to prevent insecurity in the country.

The Minister thanked the Ambassador for the visit and said Ghana and the Czech Republic have a long-standing relationship. He assured the Ambassador of his open-door policy on matters of interest and look forward to a good working relationship.

The Ambassador assured the Minister of his country’s commitment to partnering with Ghana to build the capacity of the security agencies.
