The Ashanti Regional Members of Parliament (MPs) have called on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to complete all stalled projects in the Region.
This comes after the people of Suame, a suburb of Kumasi reacted angrily when their MP, who doubles as the Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, visited the area.
The MPs strongly condemned the constituents’ actions implying that resources were made available to Mr Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu for use in the region which he failed to deliver.
Flanked by his regional colleagues, Member of Parliament (MP) for Asante Akyem Central, Kwame Anyimadu – Antwi, addressing the press in Parliament, said other constituencies, such as Kwabre East, Bantama, Atwima Nwanbiagya North and South, Kwadaso, and Asante Akim North also besieged with concerns about poor road networks.
Mr Anyimadu explained that citizens and Members of Parliament of the Ashanti Region are dissatisfied with the region’s roads and other development challenges.
He, therefore, gave the assurance that their discussion with the leadership of the government would be centred around roads, IPEC projects and all upcoming projects under the Middle Belt Development Authority (MBDA).
He expressed hope that once these projects are completed, their constituents would have renewed faith in the government.
