President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has asked the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources Samuel Abu Jinapor to assume responsibility for the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
The Minister’s caretaker responsibility, which is effective Monday, 16th January 2023, is pending the appointment of a substantive replacement for the outgoing Minister, Mr Alan Kyerematen.
This announcement was contained in a press statement issued by the Communications Director at the Jubilee House, Eugene Arhin on Friday.
The Minister of Trade and Industry, Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, resigned from his position on Thursday, 5th January 2023.
President Akufo-Addo, on Friday, 6th January 2023 accepted Alan Kyerematen’s resignation as Minister for Trade and Industry.
This was after Mr Kyerematen, on Thursday, 5th January, informed the President personally of his decision to resign and subsequently submitted his letter of resignation to him.
