President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has reassigned Dr Stephen Amoah, as Deputy Minister for Finance.
Dr Stephen Amoah, who is a Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso, until his reassigned position, was the Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry.
In a press release issued by the Presidency Tuesday, He is to take over from the late John Kumah, who passed away on 7th March 2024. His appointment takes effect immediately.
Following the reassignment, President Akufo-Addo has appointed, Kofi Ahenkorah Marfo, Member of Parliament for Achiase, as Deputy Minister-designate for Trade and Industry, subject to parliamentary approval.
According to the Press release, the President is hopeful that Parliament will on a bi-partisan basis, expedite the approval of his nominee, “so he can join the Government forthwith, and assist in the delivery of his mandate for his second term in office.”
