The Minister for Roads and Highways has handed over the 4.6km town roads in Pakyi No.1 and Pakyi No.2 to contractors to begin construction work.
The road, according to him, is a priority on the government’s agenda due to its importance.
“That is why we’ve awarded the project to contractors who will deliver on time without any excuse,” he stated.
Beyond the Pakyi road projects, the Minister’s visit included inspections of ongoing road works in Ejisu, Nhyiaeso, Bantama, Suame, Kwadaso, Manhyia, and Atwima-Kwanwoma.
He expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far and urged the respective contractors to expedite their efforts to complete the works according to schedule.
The road infrastructure upgrades across the Ashanti Region are expected to boost transportation efficiency, support economic activities, and improve accessibility for residents in these communities.
