As part of measures to ensure efficiency in the administration of justice in the country, the Office of the Attorney-General and Ministry of Justice has handed over 91 vehicles and a motorbike to agencies and regional offices under the Ministry.
The handing over of the vehicles was in fulfilment of a pledge, Minister for Justice and Attorney General, Godfred Yeboah Dame made to heads of the Agencies and Regional Offices of the Ministry to replace old ones.
The vehicles are 39 saloon cars, 42 Toyota Pick-Ups, four Toyota Fortuner, three Toyota Landcruiser V8, one 32-seater Toyota Coaster bus and two mini-Toyota buses
At a short ceremony to hand over the vehicles in Accra, Mr Dame said the Legal Aid Commission (LAC) and Economic and Organized Crimes Office (EOCO) would receive 13 vehicles each.
He said this would enable EOCO to fight crimes and assist LAC to deliver justice quickly to the poor and vulnerable in society.
