Airport View Hotel, a leading hotel in Accra, has donated GHC20,000 and linen items to Citi FM to support relief efforts for flood victims in Ghana.
The linen items include 68 pillowcases, 219 bath towels, 67 floor towels, 47 hand towels, nine bedsheets, 11 duvets, 31 throw pillows, and five pool towels.
“We are deeply saddened by the devastating floods that have affected so many people in Ghana,” Mr Lance Hurly, General Manager of Airport View Hotel said.
“We are committed to supporting the relief efforts and helping those affected to rebuild their lives.”
The floods have caused widespread damage to homes, infrastructure and crops in Ghana. Thousands of people have been displaced and many need necessities, including clothing and bedding.
“We are grateful for the support of Airport View Hotel,” said Richard Sky of Citi FM, adding: “This donation of cash and linen items will help us to provide much-needed assistance to those affected by the floods.”
