The Chairperson of the 2024 Civil Service Week Celebration and Awards Ceremony, Mrs. Wilhelmina Asamoah, has called on State Public Relations Officers (PROs) to raise awareness for maximum participation in the event.
She explained that the success of the event is heavily reliant on the active participation of all stakeholders.
Mrs Asamoah made the call during a special meeting with the PROs to inform them of the critical role they are expected to play to ensure the success of the event.
The meeting was to outline activities and programmes for this year’s Civil Service Week Celebration.
She indicated that the theme for the celebration, “Combating Threats to Sub Regional Peace and Security: Perspective of the Civil Service” underscores the need to maintain peace before, during, and after the country’s general election and address insecurity in the sub-region.
She stated, “Scheduled from Wednesday, April 24th to Friday, May 3, 2024, the celebration features a range of activities including press launch/engagement, public lecture, health screening and clean-up exercise, Inter-Ministerial football tournament, on-the-spot services among others.”
Mrs Asamoah further disclosed that the climax would be an Awards Ceremony for deserving civil servants who have performed excellently and contributed significantly to national development in 2023.
