The Deputy Minister for Works and Housing, Dr Prince Hamid Armah, has launched a new digital platform designed to modernise and improve the operations of Ghana’s Rent Control Department.
The online portal, accessible at www.rentcontrol.mwh.gov.gh, was developed in response to a commitment made by Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia during a previous visit to the Department.
Dr Bawumia had observed long queues of citizens waiting for services and pledged to digitize operations to enhance accessibility and efficiency.
The launch marks the completion of Phase I of the project, which has digitalised 15 offices across 11 regions in Ghana.
The new platform serves as a hub for all rent-related transactions, allowing landlords and tenants to interact with the Rent Control Department more effectively and transparently.
At the launch event, Dr Armah encouraged Ghanaians to embrace this technological advancement.
“This digital platform represents a significant step forward in our efforts to streamline government services,” he said.
“We urge all citizens to make full use of this tool to improve their rental experiences,” he emphasised.
