The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has leveraged this year’s World Travel Market, which took place in London from 6th to 8th November this year, to woo more tourists to the country.
Attending this programme with a team from the Forestry Commission and the private sector, the GTA used the platform to showcase the rich cultural heritage of Ghana to the participants, who were largely tourists.
“For this year’s event, the GTA showcased a very significant presence with a stand covering 45 square meters decorated with cultural pieces and networks,” the GTA noted in a press statement.
The Authority noted that it used several compelling reasons, including the hospitality of Ghanaians, beautiful landscapes of the country and the country’s historical significance to present Ghana as a tourist destination to the tourists.
