The Minister for Information, Madam Fatimatu Abubakar, has commended the Ghana Publishing Company Limited (GPCL) for creating an atmosphere conducive to the growth of state-owned firms.
She attributed the success of the GPCL to the planning and effective policy implementation inspired by the broader economic policies of the government.
“This achievement demonstrates that with the right leadership and governance, our state institutions can thrive and contribute significantly to national development,” she added.
The Minister said this at the launch of the Kumasi office of the Ghana Publishing Company Limited (GPCL) last Wednesday.
Madam Abubakar stated that the purpose of the Kumasi office was to decentralise the delivery of key services and bring them closer to the people at their convenience.
The Minister was optimistic that GPCL would have regional establishment across the 16 regions.
She added, “Our goal is to see GPCL re-establish its presence in every region, providing essential information services to all Ghanaians and reclaiming its position as a national leader in publishing and information dissemination.”
She commended GPCL’s management and reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting and collaborating with GPCL to provide efficient and effective services to citizens.
