The Minister for Youth and Sports, Mr Mustapha Ussif has stated that the ministry is committed to support and promote wheelchair softball in Ghana.
He made this known when the Ghana Wheelchair Softball Federation paid a courtesy call on him on Monday in Accra to present the winning trophies won at the wheelchair softball friendly match between Nigeria and Ghana in Surulee, Lagos, Nigeria.
He congratulated the team for bringing such trophies home for the nation and expressed joy at the team’s exploits.
On his part, President of the Ghana Wheelchair Softball Federation, Mr. Osei Mensah, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Minister for receiving them on short notice.
He commended him for the support given to them anytime they called on him.
Ghana has qualified for the Crestwood States World Series in August 2023, having won the contest.
