The Ghana Deaf Sports Federation calls on the Director General of the National Sports Authority.

The Executives of Ghana Deaf Sports Federation (GDSF), accompanied by the Korea Deaf Sports Federation has called on the Director General of the National Sports Authority (NSA) to update him on the latest development on Deaf Sports in Accra.
The Director General of NSA, Prof. Twumasi noted that the Authority would continue to offer support to both Able and Disabled sports in line with its mandate of sports development and promotion.

He applauded the federation for its active role in the sport both locally and internationally and making the country proud.
The President for the Korea Deaf Sports Federation, Mr. Jeong. Bongkyu indicated that the visit was to oversee how Deaf Sports was managed in Ghana.

He explained, that Ghana’s participation in the Deaflympics held in Brazil last year brought the sudden interest in the development of the sports in Ghana.

He noted, that the Korean government was willing to come into an agreement with the Ghana Deaf Sports Federation for the development of the sport.

The Vice President of GDSF, Mr. Kingsley Asahi was pleased with the Korean government’s interest in partnering with the federation to provide Technical Support.

Also present at the meeting was Mr. Jeff Manzah, Director for Sports Promotion (NSA), Mina, Secretary General for the Korean Deaf Sports, Mr. Jonathan Amuah, President for the Ghana Deaf Sports Federation.
