The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has appointed Chris Hughton as the new head coach of the senior national team the Black Stars.
The decision to appoint Hughton, who previously served as the team’s technical advisor since February 2022, is to maintain stability and a sense of familiarity within the team.
According to GFA, the appointment followed an extensive deliberation between the two parties and is in line with the vision of the GFA to continue with the project of building a formidable squad that started with Otto Addo in the lead-up to the FIFA World Cup in Qatar 2022.
George Boateng and Mas-Ud Didi Dramani would continue to maintain their positions as the Assistant Coaches of the team.
The three coaches were part of the technical team for the world cup in Qatar.
