The Minister for Youth and Sports, Mr Mustapha Ussif, has stressed the importance of comprehensive development of the youth to make them amiable in different fields.
That, he noted, could be achieved through exchange programmes to help young people develop entrepreneurial skills.
He said this when the High Commissioner of India to Ghana, H.E Manish Gupta called on him to discuss issues relating to youth and sports sectors of the two countries.
Mr Ussif called on the High Commissioner to consider a programme in technology since India has expertise in that area to help the youth of Ghana leverage modern technological tools to be competitive on the global stage.
On his part, H.E. Manish Gupta noted that the number of Indians residing in Ghana demonstrates the cordial relationship between the two nations and reiterated his commitment to strengthening the partnership.
He was confident of opportunities for cooperation within the services sector.
Both parties acknowledged the critical role that the youth play and agreed to foster collaborations to provide opportunities for the youth to enhance their prospects.
