The Minister for Youth and Sports, Mr Mustapha Ussif, has inaugurated a 10-member committee to oversee the preparation and organization of the 2023 Para African Games to be hosted in Ghana from the 3rd to 12th of September 2023.

The Minister last Friday noted that the appointment and inauguration of the Local Organizing Committee as well as the construction of infrastructure was an indication that the nation, under the leadership of President Akufo-Addo has a great interest in the organization and hosting of the games.

He charged the committee to do its utmost best to mobilize all resources required to successfully host the event.

He indicated that continental games of such nature, where 48 countries are involved, could only be successfully planned, implemented and delivered with the support and collaboration of all stakeholders, institutions, partners, sponsors, philanthropists as well as individuals.

He invited all sports-related bodies who are interested to partner with the Ministry of Youth and Sports to make history by delivering a memorable first-ever African Games.

Members of the committee are Dr Chris Boadi-Mensah as Chairman, Dr Bella Bello Bitugu, Juliana Addo-Yobo, Reks Brobbey, Henry Tachie-Menson, Saddick Adams, Gifty Afia Oware Aboagye, Osman Ali, Eric Kissi and Dr Hayat Khattab, all members of the committee.
