Support Ghana to organise 2023 African Games -Minister for Youth and Sports

The Minister for Youth and Sports, Mr Mustapha Ussif, has appealed to the Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Hungary to Ghana, David Bekesi to collaborate with the Ministry to organise a successful 2023 African Games in Accra.

The Minister made this appeal when Mr Bekesi paid a courtesy call on him at the ministry in Accra on Thursday.

Mr Ussif noted the African Games would feature about 25 sporting disciplines making it a huge task to deliver one of the best games ever organized on the continent.

In response, Mr Bekesi said Hungary would liaise with the Ministry to organize courses in sports administration to enrich the knowledge of coaches in various fields.

He stressed the need to organise exchange training courses to enhance the capacity of sportsmen and women in the two countries.

He added that Hungary Embassy in Ghana was working with the Ghana Scholarship secretariat to support some Ghanaian youth to enhance their educational careers.
