The Ghana National Volleyball Federation has presented trophies to the Minister for Youth and Sports, Mr Mustapha Ussif after winning the just-ended 2022 Zone 3 Nations Cup held in Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire.
Zone 3 was made up of Ghana, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Benin, Niger, Togo and Liberia but Niger, Nigeria and Togo failed to participate in the tournament.
The Minister commended the team for emerging victorious in the competition and pledged the Ministry’s continuous support.
The Vice President of the Ghana Volleyball Association, Mr George Tettey, expressed gratitude to the Sports Minister for making it possible for the two teams to participate in the tournament.
Individual awards went to Paul Akan, Best Setter; Richard Amanor, Best Attacker; John Nii Armah, Best Libro; Bernard Attom, Best Server; Esther Asiedu, Best Middle Player (women); Ajara Abubakar, Best Attacker (women) and Judith Amponsah, Best Libro(women).
