The Minister for Information, Mr Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has urged private sector organizations to engage the Research Division of the Information Services Department (ISD) to enhance evidence decision-making.

He made the call during an unveiling ceremony of the new organizational structure of the ISD in Accra on Tuesday.

He stated that the Division, with assistance from the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS), has trained and equipped ISD staff with state-of-the-art research tablets to gather empirical data.

“ISD Research Division now can conduct research for private sector organizations. The private sector should start engaging and making use of the Research Division of the ISD to enhance their decision-making process and further their research activities,” he noted.

Mr Oppong Nkrumah said the Division is equipped to conduct and furnish the government with feedback from all segments of the public to inform policies and programmes.

He noted that the data gathered by the Division corresponds with national standards and have been noted to be accurate.
